In compliance with a request filed by the IDF coordinator of activities in the territories the Ports Authority on Wednesday, 28 Tammuz 5772 opened the Allenby Crossing to Jordan. The request was made to accommodate worshippers ahead of Ramadan, which gets underway at the end of the week.

Israel Radio reports the Allenby Crossing will remain open until Thursday midnight to permit some 30,000 people to pass through.
