An eight-month-old baby fell down a flght of stairs on Wednesday night. the fall occured while the infant was in its stroller and was being taken down stairs in Kiryat Sanz in Jerusalem.

United Hatzalah ambulance team, as well as volunteers who lived in the adjacent buildings, treated the infant for his injuries at the scene before it was transported to the hospital. The infant is listed as being in moderate condition, conscious, but having sustaing multiple cotusions to its head and upper body. The infant had fallen out of the stroller even though it was tied in properly.

A Magen David Adom (MDA) spokesperson said: “MDA EMTs and  paramedics treated and transported the infant to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.”

This is the third incident involving a child falling and resulting in serious injury that took place in Israel in the past few hours.
