Chareidi Bus Driver Seriously Injured In A Collision With A Truck On Kvish 6


A serious vehicular accident involving a bus and a truck occurred on Kvish 6 (Highway 6) on Wednesday morning Taanis Esther near Sorek Interchange. United Hatzalah EMS personnel operated on the scene.

EMT Yanki Weinberg, who was among the first on the scene reported “When I arrived I realized it was a serious incident involving an empty bus and a truck. The driver of the bus was conscious but pinned inside, and he sustained multisystem trauma. I called the dispatcher requesting fire rescue to extricate him.

The bus driver, a chareidi male in his 50s, was transported to the hospital by a MDA chopper. He was sedated and intubated and flown to the trauma unit of Ichilov Hospital in very serious condition. The truck driver, a male in his 40s, was transported in a MDA paramedic unity to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot, listed in moderate condition.

An update on Thursday on the bus driver’s condition unfortunately states his condition has worsened and he is now critical. The Seret-Vishnitz Rebbe Shlita added the name Chaim and the tzibur is asked to be mispallel for Chaim Eliyahu ben Rivka Rachel for a refuah shleima bsoch kol cholei yisrael.
