15 Homes Burglarized In RBS Gimmel On First Day Of Pesach

There was a wave of break-ins on the first day of Pesach in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel as fifteen homes were burglarized. Families learned of the break-ins upon their return home on motzei Shabbos.

The apartments targeted were on Yechezkel and Havakook Streets. The families targeted were away for Yomtov.

Police estimate thieves made off with a combined NIS 350,000 in silver and jewels, as well as cash. Police believe it is a professional ring that obtained accurate intelligence regarding who would be away during Yomtov.

Police are continuing the investigation.

  1. Residents have been asked to pay 20 sh a month towards a security patrol. It’s not a lot of money, but naturally, there are people who are complaining. Let’s hope the complainers aren’t future victims.

The problem is the Arabs are sleeping in half-built apartments & the new Rami Levy mall. They see families packing up to leave for a Shabbos or YT and because we never see any police round here they know they can get a lot of good stuff.

The most shocking thing they did on their burglary spree was to literally rip the heads off a little girl’s pet parakeets. Can you imagine that family’s trauma, especially the child’s? They are cruel beyond any normal person’s comprehension. The irony is, the family WAS home but slept through the robbery.

Abutbol has posters everywhere explaining without him as Mayor, Chareidim won’t get schools, homes etc. Meanwhile, we aren’t even safe in our own homes. What’s next? They disturb the lady of the house and viciously assault her?

My fellow Gimmel residents: pay the lousy 20nis a month. Let’s hire REAL security personnel & protect ourselves.
