Three Rioters Injured in Gaza Border Skirmish


According to reports in the Palestinian media, IDF forces opened fire at Gazan protesters attempting to damage the border fence between the strip and Israel in the latest round of Hamas backed protests on Sunday.

According to reports in the Israeli media, several terrorists attempted to tear opens in the security fence, and following numerous warnings, IDF snipers opened fire and injured three people.

So far, Israel has not responded to the reports to either confirm or deny them.

This is the latest conflagration in a series of attacks on the border that took place during protests spearheaded by the terror organization Hamas since Erev Pesach. tens of thousands of rioters have clashed with Israeli security forces at the border in what Hamas is calling “The March of Return”.

The riots are scheduled to last some 6 weeks and culminate on May 15th, two days after Yom Yerushalayim and what is called Nakba Day by the Palestinians. It is also the day after the Gregorian Calendar date on which Israel was declared a state and on which President Donald Trump has set for moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital of  Jerusalem.

Protesters have used numerous techniques to attempt to attack Israeli forces including firebombs, flaming tires, and explosive devices on kites as well as regular firearms and roadside bombs.

So far, some 39 rioters and terrorists have been killed in the protests on the border, and more than 4,200 reportedly wounded or injured.
