VIDEO: Israel Police Excel In The “Feel Access” Disabled Basketball Competition

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

About eight years ago, when he was 36, Rami Malka was stricken with a disease that impacted the muscles in his body. The doctors gave him two years to live but Rami was a fighter and would not accept their diagnosis.

He continues to live his life with crutches and continues to work full force, now in charge of accessibility in the Israel Police. When he learned of the “Feel Access” sports event, which aims to increase awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and special needs, he contacted the coach of the Israeli national basketball team, Ariel Otolgi, and asked him to train the policemen to take part in the basketball competition.

Thanks to the training, the policemen excelled on the field and finished the tournament in first place
