Balloon Bomb Lands on Car in Nir Yizchak Causing Damage But No Injuries

One day after a balloon bomb managed to fly all the way to Be’er Sheva from the Gaza Strip, another balloon bomb landed on a car in Nir Yitzchak, a town in the Eshkol region on Tuesday. The incendiary device was one of dozens that were launched at Israel over the course of the day, and caused damage to the Gaza periphery and northwestern negev.

No one was injured in the incident on Tuesday, but the firebomb did cause damage to the vehicle. Israeli media reported that while these devices did not kill anyone today, the danger that they pose is clear and present. Some 28 fires blazed in fields and wooded areas around Gaza, and firefighter together with security personnel and Keren Kayemet L’Yisroel Staff worked to put out the blazes.

One fire began in the city of Netivot while another firebomb ignited a blaze near Lachish. 26 others landed in Regional councils near the border.
