PHOTOS: An Arrest Led To The Prevention Of A Stabbing Attack In Jerusalem’s Old City

A Jerusalem police spokesman on Wednesday, 4 Elul, reported the arrest of a suspect on 27 Menachem Av in Jerusalem’s Old City prevented yet another Arab terror attack.

A police patrol in the Old City saw a 26-year-old man who appeared suspicious, prompting them to stop him for an inspection. He told police he came to the Old City to pray. Police soon learned he was concealing pepper spray and a knife, which he admitted during interrogation he planned to use in an attack.

There was a gag order placed on the case until the order was lifted on Wednesday.
