Rosh Hashanah is rapidly approaching, and Sephardim have already begun reciting slichos. The Kosel Heritage Foundation announced there are ‘siyurei slichos’ (slichos tours) during the night, which began with Rosh Chodesh Elul and continue until erev Rosh Hashanah.

Slichos captures the many and varied participants with these special tefilos, which are recited with the outpouring of one’s soul. At this hour, the Kosel Plaza is filled with mispallalim from all over the country, accepting Ohl Malchus Shomayim during these special days ahead of Rosh Hashanah, days of teshuva, when Klal Yisrael strengthens their bond with HKBH.

The Kosel Heritage Foundation continues the siyurei slichos this year too, reporting that over 130,000 visitors from Israel and abroad visited the Kosel during the summer to date. Persons interested in participating in one of the siyurei slichos is strongly advised to make reservations in advance, due to the large demand and relatively limited space.
