An improvised explosive device was detected by an IDF patrol along the Gaza border, apparently placed by terrorist to detonate against IDF soldiers. B�chasdei Hashem, the IED was detected and bomb-demolition personnel detonated it without incident.

According to the IDF Spokesman Unit report, the IED was placed into position during rioting along the Gaza border as part of Hamas� ongoing efforts to strike out against the IDF.
