There was another protest held at Jerusalems Kikar Shabbos on Sunday, this time, reportedly due to the IDFs incarceration of three frum women for not reporting for service.

During the protest, which included incitement against IDF soldiers by the extremists participating in the violence, an officer from the Karkal Battalion fired his weapon in the air, explaining he felt his life was in danger after being surrounded by protestors. The officer was lightly injured by the violence directed against him.

The IDF Spokesmans Office confirms the incident, citing the soldier felt he was in life-threatening danger, and despite his minor injuries, he did not require medical attention. He fired in an effort to distance protestors. The officer was taken by military police for questioning to determining if the use of his weapon in the heart of Jerusalem was justified.

During questioning, the soldier reportedly insisted he did not fire his weapon.

During the stormy protest, participants tore down election posters from buses, targeting posters with pictures of women.
