WATCH: Israeli Police Remove Disabled Protesters Blocking Streets

Sharon district police on Tuesday were compelled to face off against disabled protestors who decided to block traffic near Kibbutz Yakum at about 3:00PM. The protestors blocked the train tracks for about two hours before police intervened, after they were given the word to clear the area, both the streets and the train tracks.

Some of the protestors refused to move from the tracks, compelling police to move them. Their presence resulted in considerable traffic snarls in the area for over two hours.

The disabled community in Israel has been protesting in cities around the country as they continue demands for increased government assistance to permit them to live in dignity. They explain that the governmental assistance received today does not permit them to live on a minimal standard.

  1. No self-righteous comments here about selfish animals who are blocking ambulances, or keeping people from getting home, to doctor appointments, etc. Who endangered many drivers as well as themselves, etc. Looks like not all highway blockers and demonstrators are created equal.
