SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*10:00am – sirens will be heard around the country as part of nationwide security preparedness exercises.

*An IDF soldier sustained light injuries on Monday night in rock-throwing attacks near Jenin.

*Terrorist gunfire was directed at IDF armor-plated bulldozers operating near Gaza’s Kissufim Crossing on Monday night. No injuries.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested 17 suspects during the night.

*IDF collects 100s of weapons held legally by Jewish residents of Yehuda and Shomron.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood announced on Monday it plans to boycott elections in protest of not receiving a fair number of representatives.

*Chief Rabbis call on soldiers not to evade reserve duty service.

*Egged announced that beginning next week, it will stop picking up passengers in the Beersheva Central Bus Station due to reduced security in that city’s main bus station. Similar moves may follow in Eilat and other cities bus co-op officials’ report, since the bus stations are not maintaining the level of security of previous years.
