An additional four victims of the 9/11 attacks have been identified, the AP reports.
The victims include 54-year-old Ronald Keith Milstein (of Queens), whose remains were found beneath the road that was built to carry cleanup and construction trucks in and out of Ground Zero following the attacks.
Also identified was 35-year-old Alejandro Castano, 35-years-old (Englewood, NJ).
The other two names were not yet released by the city – pending authorization of family members. One was a 52-year-old woman, and the other was a 59-year-old man .
More than 1,800 of the 21,000 body parts recovered from ground zero have been found in the last two years in and around the trade center site. The remains of more than 40 percent of the 2,749 people killed at the site have yet to be identified.
I know (of) someone who was initially missing, though I don’t know what ended up happening. Maybe, if there are any Jewish bodies there, they can be brought out and be given a proper kevurah.
no reason to show that picture..a little sensitivity, please.
unfortunately, how much of a body will they bury.
also, halacha requires kavod hameit for goyim, just like for jews (though we defer to their religious requirements for burial procedures, not necessarily for halachic reasons, but for practical reasons).
