TEHILLIM: New Bnei Brak Father Collapses and Misses His Eldest Son’s Bris

A 33-year-old man from Bnei Brak collapsed on Friday afternoon in his home after suffering severe difficulty in breathing. The man – who in addition to to being a Talmid Chochom and also works in kiruv – had been in an elated state over the previous week due to having become a brand new father of his first son.

United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom emergency personnel responded to the incident and began treating the unconscious new father. EMS teams performed assisted breathing on the man. The Bris was planned for Shabbos morning.

He was rushed to Ichilov hospital while he was unconscious and receiving assisted breathing. He was hospitalized and there he stayed during the momentous day.

The damage to the family was harsh, as the father would not be able to attend his bechor’s bris. While the father fought for his life, his son was given his bris in shul. The new mother asked that people pray for her husband, Daniel Ben Zehava so that he could heal, have a full recovery and come home to his son.

  1. Wishing him a רפואה שלמה . If he was conscious that day, curious if the mohel came to the hospital to get sh’lichus.
