IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz appointed Brigadier-General Moti Almoz as the next IDF spokesman, replacing Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai. Defense Minister Moshe Ya�alon approved the appointment, which goes into effect in about a week.

Mordechai will be promoted to major-general and serve as the next coordinator of activities in the territories.
