SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*A Dan Company bus traveling near Hawarah in Shomron was targeted in rock-attacks Thursday night. No injuries.

*A Jewish motorist was attacked by Arabs hurling rocks near Beit Anoun in the Chevron district on Thursday night. No injuries.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron on Thursday night made four arrests. One arrest was made in Qabatia, in the Jenin district and the others, found with homemade weapons, in the Qalqilye area. No injuries.

*PA: Two Hamas terrorists killed in Israel Air Force attack in Gaza.

*Two explosive devices and an unspecified number of firebombs were hurled at IDF soldiers operating in Tulkarem during the night. No injuries.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*A 1-year-old from Ramat Beit Shemesh died shortly after arrival in Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on Thursday, the result of meningitis.

*The US State Department called on former President Jimmy Carter not to meet with Hamas politburo chief Khaled Meshal.

*During a pre-Pesach toast with Kadima faction members, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated, “no one, most of all the opposition, will teach me the importance of Jerusalem.”

*Israeli Ambassador to Washington Sallai Meridor stated a meeting between Jimmy Carter and Khaled Meshal is likely to promote additional terror and it will deliver a blow to peace efforts.

*PM Ehud Olmert announced the Israeli response to Hamas will neutralize the terrorist organization.
