MDA: Snake & Sharav Alert as the Nation Takes to the Trails


mda1.jpgMagen David Adom, the nation’s primary emergency medical service provider, has issued a number of warnings to hikers over Chol Hamoed.

MDA warns with a sharav in the forecast, travelers are compelled to bring copious amounts of water and to hydrate frequently.

In addition, especially for the hikers taking to nature trials, the unseasonably hot weather will result in more snake activities and hikers are urged to avoid brushy areas is unfamiliar with the proper protocol. Doctors warn that if one is bitten by a snake, it is important to attempt to kept the victim as calm as possible, and the home remedies are to be avoided, including the use of tourniquets, sucking the wound and so-forth.

Senior meteorologist Robert Dulinsky reports on Tuesday morning that most areas of the country will reach close to or exceed 40C (104F) on Wednesday. Temperatures around the country will begin dropping on Thursday and then again on Friday.
