WATCH: ZAKA to Distribute Tens of Thousands of Bottles of Water on Lag B’Omer in Meron

ZAKA and the Meron branch of Meuchedet are preparing for the Lag B’Omer operation, and following the expected weather on Wednesday and Thursday, ‘sharav’ heatwave conditions, the two organizations will distribute tens of thousands of bottles of cold water. They will also have cold water for drinking at “ZAKA Square”, which is centrally located at the top of the mountain, as well as a water truck with cold water on the Mehadrin Road.

Safety rules are important:
Keep away from fire as much as possible to prevent severe burns. If the fire catches onto clothing, stop running, lay on the ground and roll several times.

In the event of a burn, the first treatment that must be performed is to wash the burn area with cold tap water and call for help.

When exposed to heat and sun, it is recommended to use protective products, and excessive exposure to heat and sun may cause sunstroke or heat stroke, so be careful to drink alot of water, cover your head and be in the shade if possible.

Rabbi Moshe Barim, director of the chareidi sector for Meuchedet: “As the leading medical organization serving the chareidi public, we are privileged to participate in ZAKA’s special activities to prevent danger and dehydration of the visitors to Meron. Tens of thousands of Meuchedet subscribers who will join in the celebration of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron will be able to enjoy the best professional service available as a unified tradition in the northern cities, including during the evening and night at the emergency centers, including the emergency center in Meron and Tzefas.”

Yehuda Meshi Zahav, Chairman of ZAKA: “Due to the anticipated ‘sharav’ heatwave this year, we are preparing special forces in cooperation with Meuchedet in order to prevent disasters in advance.
