Mekubal HaRav Kook Undergoes Surgery And Is Released From Hospital


Mekubal Rav Dov HaCohen Kook, 63, was admitted to Poriah Hospital in Tiveria after complaining of a severe pain over recent weeks. The rav underwent a surgical procedure on Sunday, and he was released from the hospital early Monday morning.

In Talmid Torah Chemdat Hatorah, which is run by the rav’s son-in-law, Rav Refael Kook, they have been reciting around-the-clock tehillim for the rav’s recovery.

Gabbaim of the rav report his condition to be good, asking the tzibur to continue being mispallel for Dov Isser ben Shoshana bsoch sha’ar cholei yisrael.

His father-in-law. Rav Yitzchak Zilberstein Shlita, a member of the Moetzas Gedolei HaTorah and Rav of the Ramat Elchanan neighborhood of Bnei Brak, instructed his shul to recite tehillim too.
