Border Police Uncover Weapon In Counter-Terrorism Operations

An improved Carlo gun was recovered during the night by border police operating in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of al-Azariya, in the Maale Adumim district.

Border police assigned to areas of Yehuda and Shomron conduct nightly operations on an almost daily basis, arresting wanted suspects towards preventing terrorist attacks and gathering quality intelligence data which leads to the former.

Along with the discovery of the Carlo, an 18-year-old resident of the village was taken into custody for interrogation. As the force was leaving the village, they came under attack with firebombs and stones, compelling soldiers to use riot-control data to extricate themselves from the village.
