Egged Drivers Canceled Monday Morning Sanctions

The driver sanctions expected on Monday morning by Egged drivers in the Jerusalem district were canceled. The sanctions were announced on Sunday afternoon after the bus company declared a ‘work dispute’.

During the night, the decision was made to cancel the planned ‘explanatory meetings’ for drivers, which were going to result in significant delays in Jerusalem district bus service between the hours of 6:00AM-8:00AM.

Drivers are demanding that management reverse a decision, which according to drivers, would result in a monthly salary reduction of thousands of shekels.

After the sides reached an understanding during the night, the decision was made to cancel the morning work sanctions.
