Two undercover police officers disguised as Chareidim were violently attacked by Arab youth near Sha’ar Yafo in east Jerusalem on Sunday night.

In a frightening sign of how determined the Arabs were to harm the “Chareidim,” the assailants continued to threaten the officer and push him even after he pulled out his gun and pointed it in the air, continuing the attack without any apparent fear of being shot.

A large number of security forces arrived at the scene in order to restore order.

The police later issued a statement, saying: “Undercover police forces involved in a special operation in the area of Sha’ar Yafo in Jerusalem arrested two suspects who attacked two officers innocently strolling the area. Two suspects, residents of east Jerusalem, were taken in for questioning.”

  1. What? These cops carry guns to use them for situations like this. These Arab animals should have been neutralized on the spot. If these chayos discover that this means immediate death, they just might stop.

  2. It’s a no win situation the Arabs want to be shot so they can escalate the fight. Why wasn’t the officer carrying a non lethal deterrent like a taser or bear spray. That would have been better.

  3. They’re taught to be martyrs and that there is a whole lot waiting for them if they get killed for the cause. Someone ought explain to them that when they’re shot they are dead forever and ever. No 72 things wait them. Maybe some will have satchel and back down.

  4. You can clearly hear the Arab saying “Yalah kador” basically daring the officer to shoot him, they know nothing’s going to happen. Would have thought they’d be better off not being there at all than giving the Arabs another chance to prove they have nothing to be scared of…

  5. Shoin and Little, If the cop had shot the Arab when nobody’s life was in immediate danger he’d have gone to prison.
