Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Moscow on Monday to meet with his Russian counterpart and President Vladimir Putin.

According to a Reuters report on Monday, Iranian Supreme leader Ali Khameini sent Aragchi to Moscow to ask Putin for more help in the wake of the US attack against the Islamic Republic.

A senior source told Reuters that Araghchi is delivering a letter from Khamenei to Putin asking for Russia’s help

“Iran has not been impressed with Russia’s support so far,” Iranian sources told Reuters

The Kremlin said that Putin is meeting with Aragchi but did not say what would be discussed.

On Friday, Putin told the press that one of the reasons why Russia is not aiding Iranians in the war is that “Israel is almost a Russian-speaking country.”
