Five IDF soldiers were wounded, including one seriously, in two explosive drone attacks carried out by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Wednesday morning, the military announced.
According to the IDF, the first attack occurred at approximately 6 a.m., when a first-person-view (FPV) drone exploded next to a tank operating in the village of Kfar Tebnit, near Nabatieh. Four soldiers were wounded by shrapnel from the blast.
Minutes later, a second FPV drone struck a vehicle being used to evacuate the wounded soldiers, injuring a fifth servicemember.
One soldier is listed in serious condition, two sustained moderate wounds, and two others were lightly injured. All five were airlifted to hospitals for treatment, and their families have been notified.
In response, the IDF carried out artillery strikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in the area.
