The parents of IDF soldier Sgt. Nachshon Wachsman HY”D visited the Shalits in their Jerusalem tent. Esther and Yehuda Wachsman’s son was murdered by Arab terrorists in the village of Dir Naballah in 1994 after being abducted. IDF Captain Nir Poraz HY”D was killed in the failed rescue attempt.

Mrs. Wachsman explained on Tuesday morning that a number of weeks ago she spoke with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, telling him that she and her husband are willing to see Nachshon’s murderer released if such an act will bring Gilad Shalit home. She stated the prime minister thanked her for her statement, but did not really enter into the matter with her.

Today, Tuesday, Mrs. Wachsman made a second appeal to the prime minister, this time on the radio, calling upon him to release her son’s murderer towards bringing Gilad Shalit home alive.

The terrorist responsible for Nachshon’s murder is serving a life sentence.
