The fire of a heavy machinegun on a tank over the weekend could have resulted in serious injuries or worse but Baruch Hashem, this was not the case.

Several bullets from the tank�s heavy machinegun were unintentionally fired at a jeep nearby, which was taking part in the Golan Heights training event. Seated in the jeep was a battalion commander. A window of the vehicle was blown out from the automatic gunfire, but there were no injuries.

The IDF Spokesman�s Office confirms the report and adds an investigation is underway.
