PM Netanyahu is meeting with Quartet Mideast envoy Tony Blair.

**The cabinet on Sunday, in the first meeting of the new administration, canceled a decision of the previous administration to construct a new PM’s complex at a cost of NIS 650 million. Immediately after announcing the decision, Netanyahu, then opposition leader, stated if elected he will cancel it.

**A US congressional delegation met in Syria with President Bashar al-Assad, expressing optimism over the possibility of opening a diplomatic channel between Washington and Damascus.
