Israel: Teens Extort Money from 10-Year-Old

Rishon L’Tzion police have arrested two suspects, both 13, for allegedly extorting NIS 8,000 from a 10-year-old boy, accosting and threatening him until the point he decided to take his mother’s savings, fearing for his well-being.

The hoods followed the 10-year-old home, after he told them he knows where his mother hides her money. After entering his home, he threw NIS 8,000 out a window to the thugs below, who used the money to enjoy a spending spree, dropping NIS 3,000 on pizza as well as purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Perhaps no less startling is the fact that when police ran the boys’ records, they learned this was not their first run in with the law, both having criminal records. The suspects are currently released to their parent’s custody, ordered to remain under house arrest.
