Netanyahu: The Crisis With VP Biden Is Behind Us

After the media announced Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s apology to US Vice President Joe Biden, the two spoke on the phone and according to the prime minister, “the crisis is behind us”.

The ‘crisis’ surrounded the announcement by the Jerusalem District Planning Board to build 1,600 housing units in Ramat Shlomo. The announcement led to condemnations from the White House, Europe and others, and now, the PA is using it to justify backing out of mediated talks with Israel.

According to the prime minister, both he and Mr. Biden are in agreement, that the crisis is a thing of the past, but the PA (Palestinian Authority) is far from done using it to its advantage, calling upon the United States to compel Israel to abide by the 10-month construction freeze in Jerusalem as demanded by the White House.

The same hold true for the left-wing community, which is inundating the media with statements against the prime minister and the coalition, blaming them for isolating Israel in the international community.
