Congress May Respond to Harsh Attacks Against Israel

While the White House and the State Department are busying themselves will assaulting Israel, seeking to pin Israel diplomatically for last week’s incident involving Vice President Joe Biden during his visit to Israel, the House and Senate may not see eye-to-eye with the senior officials.

Congresswoman Shelly Berkley (DEM-NV) already questioned the situation, expressing concern, stating the PA (Palestinian Authority) has been refusing to enter into talks with Israel for over a year. As such, she wants to know why the attacks against Israel over last week’s announced construction tenders.

Congressman Mark Kirk (REP – Illinois) is attacking the administration, questioning why the focus is not on stopping Iran’s nuclear program. He added that as long as Iran continues enriching uranium, “we may not condemn our ally in the Mideast”.

“Congress” includes the Senate. Doesn’t your reporter remember his civic lessons? The Senate along with the House of Representatives (often abbreviated as “the House”) together make up the “United States Congress.” The Senate and House each have a wing in the U.S. Capitol buidling. Your reporter should have written: “the House and Senate… etc.”

I’ve begged you before and I beg you again, hire an editor who is college educated and knows a thing or two about the English language, politics and American government. Your continued journalistic faux pas are an embarrassment to Orthodox Judaism.

  3. To commenters #1 and 2: While both of your comments may have a scintilla of truth to them, your writing styles leave much to be desired; they do not exactly match the eloquence of the Wall Street Journal’s editorial criticizing the Obama administration’s Israel policy (2nd story following this one). Why do so many Jewish commenters have to write like they’re graduates of the Redneck School of Lexicology?

  4. Mr. Emanuel is the White House Chief of Staff. The White House is the Office of the Executive Branch of the United States of America. Mr. Emanuel is an American Citizen — and a representative of America, not any other nation. It is time we wake up and realize that we are in the United States and nowhere else!
