Turkey does not appear to be making an effort to mend fences regarding diplomatic relations with Israel. The secular Muslim nation was until recently a staunch ally, but since Operation Cast Lead, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has opted to wave his Islamic colors and side with Israel�s foes, labeling Israel a �murderer of innocent Palestinian children�.

In his latest anti-Israel statement, while visiting Paris, Erdogan stated that Israel is the �biggest threat to Mideast peace�, continuing to call on Arab nations and the United Nations Security Council to take action against Israel pertaining to IDF operations during Cast Lead.
