Close to 1,000 attended the Sunday night atzeres tefilla in the Prushim Shul in Batei Warsaw against the planned construction of a shopping center in Geula. Among the rabbonim who addressed the tzibur were Rav Avraham Chaim Eisenstein and Rabbi Yaakov Chanun. HaGaon HaRav Uri Sofer, known to be a major askan in Bnei Brak, spoke of the battle waged by rabbonim shlita against a shopping center in Bnei Brak, stressing the need to prevent such a reality, which will be an affront to the kedushas chaim in the community.
