Only in Israel. 92 People Packed Into One Bus

packed bus.jpgAccording to Arutz 7, a bus traveling from Tel Aviv to Yerushalayim was stopped by police and found to be carrying 92 Frum passengers – 37 more than the maximum 55 legally allowed! The bus was stopped at the Shapirim interchange on Friday afternoon. The bus was not allowed to continue on its way, until a second bus arrived to take the extra 37 passengers.

  1. “No Child Left Behind”,George Bush would be proud. This brings back memories of that very special “joy” of waiting on lines in Israel.

  2. Ha Ha- these are the type of stories I like best- us jews are so unique!!!!
Is the photo a photo of THAT bus?

  3. If it wasn’t for the fact that this is extremely dangerous, it would by hysterical. The Arutz7 site doesn’t say anything about whether the passengers were Frum or not.

  4. I doubt the picture is of the actual bus. YW editor might want to add a “file photo” caption, so he can continue his fair and accurate reporting. (:-)

  5. If this is what makes us unique then china is stealing our identity… A similar story took place three years ago in a hong kong suburb…. But if you wanna know what makes us unique – feel free to look up PARSHAS YISRO. NJOY!

  6. something to consider the next time we see a yid hitching!

do u really have to be in such a rush that we cant stop for a second to pick up someone?
cant we squeeze in one more passenger?

  7. Good shout himmelstein…But do remember that although the majority of Tel Aviv’s population are “fry” nevertheless there is a large frum community there too…

Where’s your sense of humour???? 🙂

  8. For the ones with the humor. You are too comfortable with Galus America. Cattle in a bus is when you do not have the means to go. Israel is big on F-16’s short on the necessities of society.

  9. #7 The largest kiruv going on now is in Tel Aviv, plus a good time to visit the seperate beaches is early friday morn.

  10. Re: b mazel

what do you mean by the bus was a Matzah Bakery??? Surely it’s not humanely possible to fit 92 people + oven+ tables etc.
