Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado announced he is suspending his Democratic primary challenge for New York governor, clearing the way for Gov. Kathy Hochul’s re-election bid.

•⁠ ⁠Delgado failed to meet the threshold for an automatic ballot spot at the state Democratic convention and did not secure backing from the Working Families Party.

•⁠ ⁠He said there was “no viable path forward” for his campaign.
