Following the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter by an Iranian drone and President Trump’s threat to respond, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi released a statement warning that foreign forces operating near Iran face risks from “human errors, accidents, or being caught in the crossfire.”
Araghchi said Iran prefers “the language of diplomacy,” but added that Iran “speaks other languages too,” and argued that the best way for foreign forces to reduce risk is to leave the region.
