BREAKING: A Texas jury found 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of high school student Austin Metcalf at a track meet in Frisco, Texas.

Jurors deliberated for about three hours before returning the guilty verdict.

Prosecutors said Anthony stabbed Metcalf once in the chest during an April 2025 dispute over seating at the event.

Anthony claimed self-defense but now faces a potential sentence of life in prison.
