BREAKING: House Passes $70 Billion ICE And Border Security Funding Bill, Sending Measure To Trump’s Desk

BREAKING: The House passed a $70 billion Republican bill to fund ICE, Border Patrol, and other immigration enforcement agencies through the remainder of President Trump’s term, ending a months-long funding impasse.

• The bill passed 214-212 after previously clearing the Senate and now heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

• Language providing $1 billion for White House ballroom security and a nearly $1.8 billion Justice Department fund for people claiming political persecution was removed from the final legislation.

• The final House vote was extremely close. Rep. Tim Walberg initially voted no before switching to yes, while Independent Rep. Kevin Kiley voted against the bill despite helping advance it earlier in the day.
