Mesivta Yesodei Yeshurun, now in its twenty-sixth year, is nearing completion of its expanded facility. According to Rav Shmuel Gordon, menahel, the great interest in the mesivta from communities across the tri-state area mandated the expansion. With the completion of construction, the mesivta will have twelve classrooms and one hundred and twenty dormitory beds. Click here to review “The Yesodei Experience”.

It’s very nice to see that yeshivas today actually care about the students and teach them how to learn. I was born too early – when I went to Yeshiva in the 1970’s, they didn’t care about teaching you to learn – they just fired Gemara and meforshim at you. If you got it, great. If you didn’t, you got a zetz from the rebbe and another when you got home. I’m glad that all of today’s kids have a chance to succeed.
