CC: Seven months after the Colorodo Downtown Development Authority declined to allow a Jewish menorah at its public holiday display, the City Council will contemplate a display policy at a study session.The city?s Human Relations Commission in June recommended the city adopt an ?all or nothing? policy but suggested Fort Collins designate a public place to allow privately-funded holiday displays. Each display would need a city-issued permit under the commission?s recommendation.Space should be available year-round, the commission said, since a December-only display would exclude some cultures and religions.
