Many people came to visit the vigil tent of Noam and Aviva Shalit which was set up on Sunday opposite the Prime Minister’s Residence including ministers, MKS, members of the Arad family, Karnit Goldwasser, whose husband Ehud HY”D was killed by Hizbullah, and other notables.

On Tuesday, Noam and Aviva Shalit, Gilad’s parents, are scheduled to meet in the afternoon with President Shimon Peres and Aliza Olmert, the prime minister’s wife. Perhaps Noam Shalit knows something stating on Monday that perhaps Aliza Olmert will be able to advance their cause, to push the issue of their son’s release.

Regarding the meeting with Mr. Peres, Mr. Shalit points out it is not the first meeting with the president but he hopes Mr. Peres will have something new to suggest since he feels the window of opportunity to obtain his son’s release is rapidly closing.
