WATCH: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Slams Hamas Spokesman In Interview Over ‘Blood Libel’ Comments

Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan has been making infrequent appearances on CNN in the past few weeks, but today Wolf Blitzer really held his feet to the fire. At issue here was what Blitzer called “disturbing” comments Hamdan made on television saying that Jews use Christian blood to make matzoh, a charge generally referred to as blood libel. Hamdan had said, “We all remember how the Jews used to slaughter Christians in order to mix their blood in their holy matzoh. This is not a figment of the imagination or something taken from a film. It is a fact acknowledged by their own books and historical evidence.”

Blitzer confronted Hamdan over that remark today. Hamdan, repeatedly, refused to directly answer Blitzer’s question. Instead, he argued that the truly disgusting rhetoric is coming from the Israelis. Hamdan told Blitzer, “They are misusing the words. I’ve said on the same occasion that we don’t have problems with the Jews… I have Jewish friends who are supporting the Palestinian rights.”

At no point did Hamdan address those controversial remarks themselves. But what Blitzer noticed is that not once did Hamdan issue any kind of denial for uttering such “an awful, awful smear.”

  1. This is not good at all. Blitzed came unprepared and with only one question. He knew nothing about Arab oppression, about massacres like Chevron where Jews were raped and dismembered before being killed and the fact that chamas doesn’t even want concentration camps for Jews they want to kill all of them.
I would have done a better job.

  2. Hey, Yochanan Gordon.

Congrats, your article made it onto CNN.

    Hope this makes you proud.

For the record, it makes me disgusted.

  3. Way to go Wolf / Zeev .

To be fair – Wolf Blitzer has been uncharacteristically objective in his reporting on the Gaza war.Especially working for damning CNN.
    Let’s sometimes give him credit.

  4. I don’t see where he held “his feet to the fire” at all. This muslim creep is blabbing on about everything and Blitzer just let him rant on and on. He did no good at all. I’m sure Feiglin said nothing of the sort, but it’s a great idea!

  5. Wolf doesnt handle it well. Give him sean hannity or chris wallace, would wipe the floor with him.

I think the best bart is where mohamed talks about the ballestian beoble being bersecuted by the brime minister…lol

  6. Of course he couldn’t deny the statement since it’s on video. I wonder if he knows that Jews were expelled from Arab countries in 1948?

  7. zue1942

Blitzkrieg has been objective in this war?! Really? What clips are you watching ?

He ripped the Israeli ambassador in an interview and suddenly the next day he had a personal tour of the Gaza tunnels. THAT’S when he suddenly changed his tune.

Don’t be giving him all that credit when he doesn’t deserve it.

  8. This is the only guy Hamas was able to pick as their spokesman? He sounds incredibly DUMB! (besides all his other problems)
