VIDEO: NYPD Video Shows Terror Arrests

[VIDEO BELOW] The NYPD has released video of the arrest of Ahmed Ferhani, who is among two Queens men accused of buying guns and hoping to attack synagogues and kill Jews.

The video shows a suspect, whom police have identified as Ferhani, closing the truck of a car parked on West 58th Street in Manhattan at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The video shows moments later, several unmarked police cars pull up, and detectives with the Intelligence Division, which investigates terrorism, arrest Ferhani.

The NYPD said that Fehani had just purchased a hand grenade, three boxes of ammunition, and three guns — two Browning .380-caliber pistols and a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol, from an uncover detective. The grenade was inert, but the guns were fully functional, police said.

Not far away, other detectives arrested Mohamed Mamdouh, 20, on a street corner.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said the two men, both immigrants, were American citizens who were angry at the way Muslims are being treated around the world. They had told the undercover detective that they wanted to wage armed jihad against Jews, according to a criminal complaint.
