A Look of the Number of Dead And Wounded in the Ongoing Wave of Islamic Terror in Israel


zHadar Buchris HY”D, who was murdered in a terror attack at Gush Etzion Junction on 10 Kislev, became the 19th Jew killed in the ongoing wave of Islamic terror that began on erev Rosh Hashanah 5776. There have been at least 311 persons wounded in the terror attacks.

According to the Hatzalah Yosh report released on Sunday afternoon 10 Kislev, a foreign resident and a talmid yeshiva were killed by mistaken fire, a citizen sustained moderate injuries as a result gunfire from security personnel trying to neutralize a terrorist and a civilian was lightly wounded as security personnel tried to neutralize another terrorist. Shadi Arfa was among three persons murdered in a Gush Etzion Junction attack on Thursday, 7 Kislev. The two persons mentioned here, Arfa and the foreign resident [killed in a Beersheva bus station attack] bring the death toll to 21.

There have been 46 stabbing attacks. In addition, there have been at least 50 stabbing or attempted stabbing attacks in which the terrorists were neutralized or killed. There have been four vehicle ramming/stabbing attacks; nine ramming attacks; 29 shooting attacks; 29 attacks involving explosives that have been reported. (Many of the attacks in which explosive devices are hurled at security forces are not reported).

Eleven people have been murdered

At least 106 people were wounded including 21 soldiers, 12 policemen, 55 civilians. There were also 19 persons treated for hysteria.

Shooting attacks

Seven people were murdered

· Rabbi Eitam Henkin

· Mrs. Na’ama Henkin

· IDF soldier Omri Levi

· Rabbi Yaakov Litman

· Netanel Litman

· Yaakov Don

· Ezra Yechiel Schwartz

There were a total of 57 persons wounded including 7 light-to-moderate, 2 serious and the remainder light. There were 32 people treated for hysteria.

Rock-throwing attacks

One person was murdered

· Alexander Levlovitz

137 people were wounded in rock-throwing attacks including 17 soldiers, 46 policemen and border policemen, 2 tourists and a member of the foreign press and 72 civilians including women and children, the youngest being a 6-month-old girl.

· There were at least 19 explosive devices resulting in two injured including a border policeman at Kever Rochel and a border policeman near Issawiya.

· One person was injured in his eyes from a smoke grenade near Hizme

· A policeman was injured when a female terrorist ignited a cooking gas tank.

Firebomb attacks

A 3-year-old sustained moderate injuries in a firebomb attack as well as three other persons who were lightly wounded and one person treated for hysteria.

While many incidents go unreported in the media, there have been dozens of cases of attempted murder in which stones are hurled at civilian vehicles, security vehicles and ambulances.
