Korban Pesach Suspects Released From Custody


Suspects taken into custody for their annual bringing of a Korban Pesach hours before Yomtov were released ahead of Pesach by the Jerusalem Magistrate Court.

Justice Shalom Eitan Cohen rejected a police request to distance the suspects from Jerusalem’s Old City and the Muslim Quarter. He released the suspects, some of whom are minors, on bail. They were arrested of attempting to bring a Korban Pesach near Har Habayis.

Honenu attorney Rechavia Filtz stated lamented police’s eagerness to limit the actions of Jews in the Old City, suggesting their better use their limited resources to combat crime and terror.
