Amona Residents Waiting For PM Netanyahu To Act

It has been about a month and a half since Amona residents were evicted from their homes amid a promise their new community was going to be built immediately. The residents and their families are living in a dormitory of a girl’s school in Ofra and work on a new community has yet to begin.

A community representative spoke with Kol Berama radio on Wednesday morning 17 Adar, explaining the situation is untenable, as they have lost their homes and their lives and are now being forgotten despite government promises.

They have sent a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu this week explaining that if wok is not begun immediately, they will move onto a mountain on their own and begin setting up their new homes without his assistance or approval for their current conditions are intolerable.

The residents reject Mr. Netanyahu’s almost daily broadcast with yet another ‘valid’ reason why the construction of the new community is delayed.
