Iran launched a missile barrage Thursday afternoon targeting large areas of northern and central Israel, with several impacts reported despite heavy activity by Israeli air defense systems.

One of the strikes hit the Haifa oil refinery, causing damage to infrastructure. Additional impacts were reported in the Haifa Bay area, including at or near an electrical facility, leading to localized power outages in parts of the city.

Emergency and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to multiple impact sites across Haifa. B’chasdei Hashem, no injuries have been reported.

Iranian state media claimed a power station in Haifa “exploded” as part of what it described as retaliation for recent Israeli strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure.

Israeli officials have not confirmed the extent of the damage but acknowledged that missile fragments and direct impacts were identified within the city.
