Arab Neutralized After Attempting to Attack Farm Resident In Binyamin

A Palestinian who attempted to attack a resident of a farm in the Binyamin region with a huge stone on Shabbos was shot and neutralized.

Police and the IDF are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The Palestinian was moderately wounded and evacuated for medical treatment. Officers from the Yehuda and Shomron District Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

According to the report, the farm owners called the police after identifying a Palestinian who had arrived at the site holding a stone and behaving in a threatening manner. A resident who approached to determine his intentions was attacked by the suspect. In response, and after feeling that his life was in immediate danger, the resident fired his personal weapon and neutralized the Palestinian.

Police officers from the Binyamin station, accompanied by IDF soldiers, arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence and testimony. A preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect arrived at the farm already armed with a large stone, began acting violently, threatened a resident, and attempted to attack him. The shooting occurred after the resident felt threatened and perceived an immediate danger.

The Palestinian, who was wounded, was evacuated for medical treatment before security forces arrived at the scene. He will later be transferred for questioning by the security authorities.

Police emphasized that the investigation is still in its early stages and is continuing in order to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
