The Hezbollah terror organization continued to attack IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon over Shabbos, and the IDF returned fire.

“Hezbollah launched over 50 projectiles toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon,” the IDF spokesperson said.

“In order to remove threats in response to Hezbollah’s blatant violations, the IDF struck dozens of Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites and terrorists in southern Lebanon throughout the night.”

On Shabbos afternoon, Iran announced that it was closing the Strait of Hormuz due to the “US’ blatant violation of of the first clause of the ceasefire agreement and the Zionist regime’s ongoing and relentless violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.”

About an hour later, Iran threatened to launch missiles at Israel tonight if the attacks on Lebanon continue.

Following the announcement, the Israeli government ordered the IDF to hold fire in southern Lebanon, an order opposed by the IDF.

Meanwhile, according to reports, US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are in Switzerland for further negotiations with Iran.
