The Monticello Shul was burglarized on Friday night, and a Sefer Torah was unfortunately stolen.
YWN spoke with Rabbi Benzion Chanowitz, who is the Rov of the Landfield Avenue Shul, who says the burglary happened some time Friday night after he left the Shul.
The Sefer Torah has a “blue mantel” on it.
The Monticello Police Department and the NY State Police are investigating.

They don’t have a safe or a alarm system ? I’m sure with all of the resources available in klal yisroel, the situation can be rectified.
